Art Camp 2010


Week 1: June 7 to 11
Art in Nature

Students ages 8-12 experienced the visual arts through painting, drawing, clay, sculpture. The basic principles of design were taught and integrated into hands-on projects. Instructors included art educators and local guest artists.

Week 2: June 14 to 18
Stage One — Theatre Fun for Everyone

Students ages 9-12 focused on the performing arts including movement, music and theatrical arts, which provided a basic theatrical background for camp participants. Improvisation, basic dance steps, vocal skills (both singing and speech), music awareness, and performance techniques were explored. A casual demonstration showcasing the skills learned ended the camp week.
