Second Saturday Youth Activities and Programs at FAC*

Ongoing Second Saturday monthly youth art classes are co-sponsored by ISD 181 Commmunity Ed at Franklin Arts Center cafeteria from 10 to noon. Semi-annual themed “Arty Parties” make art activities fun for all.

Suggested material fee donation: $3/child or $5/family.  No child will be turned away due to financial need.

*Franklin Arts Center (FAC) is located at 1001 Kingwood Street, Brainerd, MN.

Color Crazed Arty Party with Michelle Pfeiffer

Saturday, February 11th from 10am to noon at the Franklin Cafeteria, co-sponsored by ISD 181 Community Ed. 

 

Edible Color Collage - Create art you can eat! Explore the elements of color and line through a variety of edible media - Mmmmmm-Mmmmmm Good! 

Monochromatic Oil Pastel Creations - Practice mixing tints and shades of any ONE hue to create a monochromatic masterpiece! 

Color-full Sculpted Paper Hats - Start with your favorite color paper and rip-fold-curl-cut and sculpt your way to the perfect wearable art piece...artists will leave in the height of hat fashion with their art on their heads! 

WaterCOLOR Abstract Portraits - Learn to mix colors and work with every color in the color wheel to create a colorful self portrait. Green hair and purple teeth optional!

Saturday, May 12th from 10am to noon at the Franklin Cafeteria, co-sponsored by ISD 181 Community Ed.
