About the Artist

Kathleen Krueger, the Crafter of Words, is a full time freelance writer from Brainerd, Minnesota. She is a regular contributor to HerLife Magazine out of Kansas City and Her Voice here in Brainerd, as well as several online publications. She has a background in small business administration and construction. These topics, along with personal development and relationship issues, are found in much of her writing. Her intuitive, feelings-based personality strongly influences her creative writing, but is especially evident in her poetry, her first love, when it comes to crafting with words. Kathleen also has a passion for finding new ways to present her poetry in forms outside the traditional book format. This prompted her first poetry exhibition in 2010 entitled "Poetry Outside the Book". Although she does have one self-published chapbook and has had poems published in several anthologies, offering her poetry one piece at a time is still her preference. Kathleen had her first short fiction piece published in Volume 20 of the literary journal, The Talking Stick in 2011.
