The 10th annual Picturing Photography Exhibition will be held March 15-27, Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 4pm (or by appointment) at the Franklin Arts Center's Q Gallery.
The Crossing Arts Alliance invites you to attend the Picturing reception (Q Gallery) on Saturday, March 27 (5pm - 7pm) where we will honor Dave Boran who was selected as 2010 Photographer of the Year. Congratulations Dave!
The exhibited photographers will also be honored and all images will be on display. As in years past, we will also announce the Peoples' Choice Award at the reception. The cost of the reception is $10. Crossing and Focal Point members receive a $5 discount.
In conjunction with the exhibition, the Crossing will also sponsor a day of photography workshops on Saturday, March 27, at Franklin Arts Center. The workshop will feature talented photographers who will share their real-world knowledge about photography. The speakers are Doug Beasley, Peter Wong, Stephen Bye from Adobe, and local professionals Biff Ulm and John Linn. Presentations will include topics about digital photography, camera techniques, lighting, and much more.
The price for the whole day of workshops is $40 for adults and $20 for students. Lunch can be ordered in for $7. Registration for the workshop can be done on that day or you can save time by completing the downloadable registration form and bringing it the day of the workshop. Or, fill out the pre-registration form below and we'll have your name on our list that day. To pre-pay with a credit card call the Crossing office at 218.833.0416.
