If you enjoy talking to people about positive aspects of The Crossing Arts Alliance, this volunteer category might be perfect for you. Examples are helping staff the booth at Arts in the Park or taking registrations at the Picturing workshop.
Volunteering at exhibits is a relaxing way to spend a few hours. Turn on (or off) the lights and music at the Q Gallery, greet people when they come to view art, represent The Crossing Arts Alliance, and listen to soothing background music in a pleasant environment.
Encourage customers to browse and buy, run a cash register and credit card machine, write receipts, and balance out the till. If you are comfortable handling money, counting, making change, and have a pleasant demeanor, consider this category.
Making name tags, taking in registration money, making change, greeting people, and pouring beverages.
Answering the phone, stuffing envelopes and applying labels and stamps for mailings, and simple filing.
Picking up promotional material, driving, and dropping it off at predetermined locations.
Those with writing talent may enjoy writing articles for our features in the Brainerd Dispatch or Crossing Currents newsletter.
Helping vacuum or sweep, collecting and bagging up refuse after receptions, and wiping tables and chairs is a good category for volunteers who prefer not to be in public.
Taking photos for various articles to be published, at events, or to document exhibitions is a great way to volunteer for those who enjoy photography.
Say yes to this category if you are flexible and enjoy a variety of tasks.
