Art helps me forget about cancer for a little while.

Our Mission

Sharing the therapeutic power of art

The Healing Arts Project provides thoughtfully designed art kits for care spaces, helping people find calm, focus, and moments of relief during treatment.

How it works

Making room for creativity in places that need comfort most

We curate kits
Every kit is compact, calming, and designed to work in a chair-side treatment setting.
Centers offer them
Infusion centers, oncology clinics, and care spaces can make kits available to patients and caregivers.
People create freely
No experience needed. Just a gentle invitation to draw, doodle, or play with color.

Get Involved

Help us place more art kits to share in care spaces

Knowing what we know about the healing, relaxing, therapeutic power of the arts—that the simple act of doodling or coloring can help people relax, get out of their heads, and slip into a creative flow where peace and hope can grow—we’re building partnerships with treatment centers, supporters, and artists who believe creativity belongs in healthcare spaces as well as classrooms and art centers.

Your donation will support the purchase of art supplies that we will compile into kits and share with treatment centers, who will make them available to patients. Patients can choose a kit, use it during treatment, and bring it home for continued exploration.

“Creating artwork allows your mind to be in a safe place while it contemplates the tougher issues you are dealing with. One can use the tools of brush, paint, pastels, crayons etc to expose and even for a short time color those issues in a different light.”
― George E. Miller
